Vehicle Qualifications:

• Straight Trucks – 24 ft box or longer, dock high with liftgate.
  
• Tractor Trailers – tandem axle with or without sleeper.
  
• Truck must be no older than 10 years and in good condition
  
• Exhaust stack must be 13 feet or higher
• Current State vehicle inspection and registration
  
• Must pass a company vehicle inspection
• Current empty weight scale ticket (within last week)
• Load securement devices for cargo
  
• Pallet jack and dolly
  

Driver Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older
  
• Must have a valid drivers license for class of vehicle applying for
  
• Pass a company road test
• Speak, read and write the English language in accordance with D.O.T. regulations

Unacceptable Driving Records :

• More than 3 moving violations and/or accidents in the most recent 3 years
  
• More than 2 moving violations and/or accidents in the most recent year
  
• Drivers with a major conviction in the last 5 years:
  • Driving while intoxicated or "under the influence" (DWI or DUI)
  • Leaving the scene of an accident
  • Careless or reckless driving
  • Homicide or assault through the use of a motor vehicle
  • Drivers who currently have a suspended or revoked license
  • Eluding a police officer

Criminal History :

An applicant may not have any of the following convictions:

• Sale or Possession of a controlled substance within the last 5 years
• Murder
• Sexual assault
• Armed robbery or felony theft
• Perjury
• Any “aggravated” conviction
• Any other felonies or misdemeanors will be reviewed by the fleet Safety Dept.
  

Experience Requirements:

Drivers must have a minimum of 6 months verifiable driving experience for the driving position they are applying for.
